Hey Everyone — How’s the tail-end of summer going? Crazy busy? If you’re nodding yes, then this photo post is for you: Quck. Fun. Idea generating. If you already have a million details buzzing through your head, or feel a bit dizzy from a host of changing schedules/demands, then here’s the perfect opportunity to take a break and enjoy a moment in some fun, colorful, small gardens.
A few weeks ago I joined a group of garden bloggers on the Garden Bloggers Fling 2016, a tour of Twin City gardens. Total fun. Hilarity. Great gardens. Great people. Thousands of photos — and photo bombing! Lol. Over the next few weeks I’m sharing some of my in situ event photos, which is a fancy way of preparing you for seeing the arms, legs and harsh light that sometimes happens on group tours. But, in situ is all part of the fun and these wonderful in-the-moment photos are brimming with garden ideas from experienced gardeners throughout the Minneapolis Metro area.
On the tour, I was delighted to see that many gardeners share my personal conviction ~Small gardens are awesome when FULL of color. Here are some dynamic ways these gardeners have used color and texture within the small garden framework.
Color-Full Small Gardens
That’s it for today. Hope you enjoyed this short, but color filled photo break. I’ll be highlighting more of the Garden Bloggers Fling 2016 in the weeks to come. I admit, I’m saving much of it for those cold weather weeks when we’re all garden starved.
Also, remember to sign up for the More Than Oregano newsletter. We have some great subscriber-only giveaways and gallery specials coming up. I think you’re going to love some of the new things we’ll be providing.
