It’s not easy being green….. Kermit the Frog was on to something long before the rest of us understood the magnitude of what the adorably-insecure muppet was saying. Few places are harder to be green than impoverished neighborhoods located in the middle of urban communities. But alas, good hearts are winning battles in the war against poor nutrition and lack of healthy food by innovating. Yes, there’s still lots to be done, but industrious folks are doing the hard work and making a difference.
GrowHaus Hearts Create A Clean Growing Community
I had the outstanding pleasure of taking a self-guided tour through The GrowHaus, an interactive urban farm and market serving the Elyria-Swansea and Globeville neighborhoods on the fringe of Denver Colorado. I hadn’t planned on visiting GrowHaus. It came at the random suggestion of a friend in the growing industry who had just taken a tour and loved what he saw. My friend found out I was in the area and suggested I stop by. So I did.
At a time when I’m more frustrated than ever with the political landscape of our country, it did my heart good to discover GrowHaus and see their hearts doing so much good. Need a feel good break in your day, too? Take heart and join me on my photo tour….
You can find more about GrowHaus and their way of working by visiting them at The GrowHaus . Interested in aquaponics? Visit Colorado Aquaponics for a thorough understanding of aquaculture, hydroponics and aquaponics.
Be encouraged and keep growing!
