It’s a blustery raining Wednesday. While I probably should remain wordless on a day like today, I couldn’t help but pass along a little Thanksgiving decor idea. Like most of you, I’m on the run again so I’m tapping this out rather quickly. If you can spare a moment, here’s a quick thought…
Thanksgiving Container Spruce Up
My IGC’s and local box stores are brimming with spruce tops right now. Are yours? I love decorating for the holidays and because the temps are going to soon plunge where I live, I like to get it done a little early. However, I’m also HUGE fan of Thanksgiving, especially this year. The world appears to be a crazy mess right now, yet there is so much to be thankful for. Thanksgiving gives us that welcomed chance to be grateful for what we have at hand despite all that we wish would change.
So…. let’s not skip our precious day of thanksgiving in our decorating, but let’s be smart about it, too. When you go out to pick up Christmas greens consider grabbing a bunch of Thanksgiving picks, too. It’s an easy way to spruce up your containers for Thanksgiving. The items you choose don’t have to cost much. I think I got my bunch for under $5. You might also want to grab a little ribbon. If you have a smidgen of burlap in your stash, you can make a quick layered bow. The beauty of this little set-up is that I can quickly swap out my Thanksgiving picks for Christmas decor. I surrounded my container with the pumpkins I’d grown this past summer. Pretty simple. I hope this gets your creative holiday juices flowing.
No matter where your live, may you be blessed with a moment of thankfulness. It can take less than 90 seconds, but it may change the rest of your busy day!
