I’m excited to kick-off the garden season and wanted to share a few pics of what’s growing in my garden right now, but it is only May. Like many northern gardens, my garden is more in the anticipation stage. It’s hard to be a flower when evening temps drop down in the 30’s° F, but we do have some that strive to show their color. My ‘Olga Mezzit’ rhododendron (pictured above) is one of them. The eye-popping pink blooms light up my front yard. These are newer to my garden, and I ask myself what took me so long to plant them?!
My pansies are still bright and cheery. They’re one of the few flowers that enjoy these cooler temps.
What’s growing in your garden NOW? I’d love to see. In fact, come back tomorrow (Thursday), when an enthusiastic group of gardeners from around the globe will be sharing more of our gardens on the Growing NOW Garden Tour 2015. If you garden and blog, please join in the fun! You can find out how by checking out yesterday’s Growing NOW Garden Tour 2015 blog post. Or, if you love gardens please check back. They’ll be plenty of blogs to hop around to for your viewing pleasure!
See you then!
